Dark Stranger, you landed on my west shore; Coming out of the mist of night, raiding, Penetrating to the very heartland Of my most prime valued territory. How do I resist this bold invasion?
I find I am unwilling to resist..
Your Viking spirit has come to pillage, And with your deep, unknowing advances You have stolen my heart, my soul, away. This golden-ruby treasure you have robbed Is not so lightly taken nor given.
I ask myself, do I want it returned?
I find I cannot soon answer myself. The raid I suffer is not unwelcome, Nor is my invader unappealing. An invader does not invade a land Which does not appear healthy and wealthy.
Should I defend against this invasion?
You may not have meant to cross my borders. You do not know ‘tis I you are raiding, But the further you drive into my heart The more of my will to fight this I lose. Win me now, and you hold me forever.
I am conquered!
