When you were born You're parents took you to the church To be baptized Oh, they were wise That Sunday morn The Reverend dedicated you Into God's care And it was fair
While growing up Your parents took you to the church To learn of Christ They thought it wise So looking up You prayed to Jesus that He'd come And meet you there You knew He'd care
In God's care Your life was heading there You knew it even from your birth Until the time you'd meet him In the air
And then you wed You met the one you knew you'd love For all your life As man and wife And in your head You knew in times of strife when Life was so unfair That God was there
In God's care Troubles come and troubles go But why they do, for all you know It is the way God makes you grow If you dare
Now you're gone You've passed into the life beyond The one you lived Oh what a gift To meet the Son Given freely when invited In your heart In every part
In God's care Embroidered on your casket lid These words I read above your head Describing more than can be said About your life
In Loving Memory of Muriel McEwen (Dec/2/33 to Nov/11/98)
